Photography is a visual language, the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world. (Andreas Feininger [1906-1999])

About Me

In the summer of 1983 I bought my first camera at the flea market in former West Berlin and shortly after my first film was processed. Later I went on documenting the world around me with my father’s camera (Nikkormat). At that time a good friend of mine who was a passionate and professional photographer himself gave me deep insights into his way of portraying people and basic knowledge in the dark room as well. The direction of my professional career became clear through my training as a photographer at the Freie Universität Berlin from 1990 until 1993. Up to now photography with all its different areas still brings joy and passion to my life.
